You train.
You eat.
You rest.
We do the thinking.

Answer a few questions and see, right away, how much to eat today, how much protein per meal and how many carbs to take on a long session. Strava brings in the workout and the day adjusts itself.

How it works

From the first tap to your plan in three steps.

  1. Tell us who you are

Goal, sport, your race (if you have one), age, height and weight. Sex is optional and only goes into what you burn at rest.

  2. See the plan right away

Daily target, protein per meal, carbs and water on long sessions. With a target weight, a realistic date to get there.

  3. Save it and log your way

Your phone number saves the plan, with a code by SMS. Then just log your meals: photo, text or voice.

Nothing counts on its own

A rest day is not a 3-hour ride.

A calorie counter gives you the same number every day. FuelBalance adds what you burn at rest to the session Strava recorded, and the plate changes with it.

Tuesday

Rest
Burned at rest 1,497 kcal
Training 0 kcal
To hold your weight, eat ~1,500 kcal

Protein spread over the day: 20–27 g per meal.

Saturday

3 h ride · Strava
Burned at rest 1,497 kcal
Training 1,850 kcal
To hold your weight, eat ~3,350 kcal

During the ride: 60–90 g of carbs an hour (180–270 g) and 400–800 ml of water an hour.

Example: Ana, 36, 1.72 m, 68 kg, wants to hold her weight. Resting burn from the Mifflin-St Jeor formula; training calories from Strava.

Race strategy

PRO

On race day, what to carry.

Pick your race from the list of Brazil's main events. FuelBalance counts carbs per hour, gels, water and sodium. For triathlon, leg by leg.

Maratona do Rio

Running · 42.2 km · May 30, 2027

4h13estimate for an amateur
Carbs per hour60–90 gthe band for races over 2h30
Carbs in the race255–380 g10 to 15 gels of 25 g
Water1.7–3.35 L400–800 ml an hour
Sodium180–550 mg/h460–690 mg per liter (ACSM)
Without a target time, the app estimates an amateur's pace. With yours, the numbers follow your pace.

Why it matters

Eating less isn't a win.

A calorie counter Monday · 3 h ride −1,200 kcal target −500 Great day!
FuelBalance Monday · 3 h ride −1,200 kcal target −500 Under what you need. Refuel.

For people who train, ending the day far below the plan isn't discipline. It's the next session paying for it. FuelBalance warns you when the deficit goes past the limit, and never asks anyone under 18 for a deficit.

For coaches and nutritionists

Follow what your athletes eat and train.

We're building FuelBalance for the people who look after athletes: each athlete's day in one place, with the athlete's consent for each kind of data.

Work with athletes? Follow @fuelbalance.app to hear first.

  • Who needs attention first: athletes who ended the week below plan show up at the top.
  • The athlete chooses what to share: meals, weight and training, each with its own permission.
  • No spreadsheets: what the athlete logs in the app reaches you.

Questions

Before you start

Do I need an account to see the plan?

No. You answer, see the whole plan and only then save it with your phone number, through an SMS code. Until then, your answers stay on your device.

Do I need Strava?

Strava brings in your workouts, and that is how the day adjusts. Without it, the plan follows what you burn at rest, and everything else works the same.

Does it work without a race on the calendar?

Yes. Without a race, the plan follows your goal and your training. When you set one, the app adjusts the target for race week.

Is there an app for Android and iPhone?

Yes, both: Google Play and the App Store, at fuelbalance.app/baixar. FuelBalance also runs in the browser, at fuelbalance.app/web, with the same account.

Does it replace a nutritionist?

No. FuelBalance does the day-to-day math with sports-nutrition references. For a clinical diet, see a nutritionist.

What do you do with my data?

It stays in your account. We don't sell data and we don't show ads. The details are in the privacy policy.

Is there a minimum age?

Yes, 18. The app deals with weight goals and calorie deficits.
